From a young age creativity and business were always in my blood. I grew up riding BMX for more than ten years, filming and editing videos with my friends and publishing them on YouTube. That was my first taste of graphic design and digital creativity. I kept pushing it further, eventually riding at a high level with sponsorships, features on blogs such as Ride UK BMX and competing at NASS Festival where I placed 15th out of 100 riders and was invited back for several years. One of my proudest moments was winning an online competition with Red Bull which led to me being invited to Scotland for a weekend. That experience showed me how far creativity, consistency and hard work can go.

By the age of eight I was already experimenting with design. I spent birthday and Christmas money creating small clothing lines, building websites and printing my own designs to sell online. At fifteen I launched a clothing brand based around modified cars that grew from zero to ten thousand followers. I designed everything myself including logos, graphics, websites and clothing and eventually sold the brand so I could focus on my next chapter.

I also worked at my family’s business Plymouth Gadget Repair where I managed the website, grew the social media following to more than ten thousand, and helped expand the business significantly. Over the years I worked in more than forty industries including construction, retail, welding, garages, fast food and delivery. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of how businesses operate and what they need to grow.

The turning point came when I slipped a disc working in a timber yard. During recovery I invested two weeks into my side project Killed Pixel Studio. By listening to businesses, understanding their challenges and producing agency level design, websites and social media content, I built enough momentum to make Killed Pixel my full time career.

From the beginning I promised that Killed Pixel would be different. Too many workplaces treat people like numbers and I wanted to build a creative agency that treats people with respect and fairness. My long term vision is to grow Killed Pixel into a leading creative agency in the UK that creates jobs, supports talent and gives people a workplace where they feel valued like family.
